Throwback to the day when I met my idol maria emmerich! She inspires me from day 1. Many people love her or look up to her for many reasons. My reasons are many but at the top of the list is knowledge! She gave me tools to succeed. When u know WHY you are doing something / WHY certain ways work while others do not / HOW your diet impacts not only your weight but also your health / WHAT is good for you and what isn’t… then it’s a whole new ball game. Then you have a true MOTIVATION and there is no stopping you. Lets Have a #realtalk from the eyes of Smam. Just like any other girl it seems Im constantly searching for a way to maintain a healthy weight. I dont say lose weight because that gives the idea I want a diet. Im not looking to go to extremes and restrict myself and live an unhappy life. I -am- looking for a healthy way to live for ME in which I can create my own #balance . So how does one go about this? The fitness and health industry has so many options one Google search can send your head reeling with information and if youre like me then you go eat a snickers and say #fuckit I think the general consensus with most lifestyle choices is that you need a caloric deficit i.e. have your body intake less calories then your body requires to maintain its current weight or lose weight. Good thing that a keto diet allows for things like cream cheese and bacon. After a brief hiatus (where did the past week go?) I’ve returned. Last weekend was a long weekend in Canada so I was out of service camping for most of my time off. I was so proud of myself for how in control I was of my snacking… yes there were a few handfuls of chips a graham cracker rice crispy square or two and many beers consumed but I normally would have used camping as an excuse to totally derail myself (especially since I’d been in a bit of a plateau). But instead I planned ahead and brought parsnip chips veggies and dip and avoided carbs for the most part go me huge accomplishment. So naturally once we were home and most of the temptations were gone… I ordered pizza and stuffed my face with McDonald’s and demolished half a Costco sized bag of munchies over the period of two days sigh The important thing is that I’m back.
