Lets Have a #realtalk from the eyes of Smam. Just like any other girl it seems Im constantly searching for a way to maintain a healthy weight. I dont say lose weight because that gives the idea I want a diet. Im not looking to go to extremes and restrict myself and live an unhappy life. I -am- looking for a healthy way to live for ME in which I can create my own #balance. So how does one go about this? The fitness and health industry has so many options one Google search can send your head reeling with information and if youre like me then you go eat a snickers and say #fuckit I think the general consensus with most lifestyle choices is that you need a caloric deficit i.e. have your body intake less calories then your body requires to maintain its current weight or lose weight. Whether youre counting macros calories carbs… the result of the way youre eating with any of these is most likely a caloric deficit. The key to any of these is making sure you are able to sustain the way of life to get the results you want. So how do you determine what is the right one for you? You try it! It is that easy and that hard. But if you try something dont just give it a week or two weeks or a month You need to give it a real try before you can give a real verdict on something or at least that is how I try and #livemylife. I will say that I have tried a macro counting/ IIFYM/Flexible Diet way of life. I gave it two months and I didnt care for it although in truth Im not sure if I really stuck with my macros long enough to reap any benefits of the lifestyle. If I over ate 1 or 2 days a week but only tried it for 2 months that is a significant chunk of the time that I did not do what I was supposed to do. You can read more about Flexible dieting in the comment below. So how am I eating? Im trying to eat a keto diet every day. AHH GASP THE HORROR! Theres a ton of bad juju around the Keto Diet as well as a lot of good reviews and high praise. So instead of putting forth an opinion that is someone elses I decided to do the lifestyle myself and be able to give my own opinion when asked. What is Keto? Ill put that below too.
